Who we are

Transforming Communities Through Children

In India alone, more than 26 million children are abandoned and call the streets their home. We believe each one of them deserves love, a family and a reason to smile.

Our Children's Homes are not institutions. Children live with our staff as a family, in a normal community, attending the local school with their friends. They learn what it means to belong, and they receive the love and care of a mother and a father.

  • Homes for abandoned children, widows and the mentally ill
  • Schools, skills and health care for poor communities
  • Relief for families hit by disasters

What drives us

Vision & Mission

Everything we do begins with one simple belief: no one should be left alone in their suffering.

Our Vision

A society where every abandoned child, widow, elder and mentally ill person is loved, cared for and restored, and can smile again.

Our Mission

To rescue and care for the poor and the forgotten, and to transform their communities through homes, health care, education, skills and relief.

Mercy Home · Lucknow

Chandrapal was restored to his family

Chandrapal lost his mental balance, left his village and ended up living on the roadsides of Lucknow, eating leftovers from dustbins. Our staff found him under a flyover and brought him to Mercy Home.

With personal care and medical help he recovered completely. A month later he went home, and the whole village came out to see the change.

Mercy Home · Beauty unveiled

Sameeksha came home after a year

Her family believed she was dead. Our staff found Sameeksha wandering the streets of Lucknow in rags, mocked by people around her. At Mercy Home she recovered fully and gave birth to a baby boy.

When she knocked on her parents' door in the middle of the night, they could not believe their eyes. Today she lives a happy, normal life with her husband and family.
